About Me

Hello! I'm Debbie, a wife, mom of 3, Real Estate Agent and videographer/photographer.

I am a creative with a strong moral compass and a dedication to everything I am passionate about. My real estate career is driven by giving particular thought to my marketing, both in the presentation of visuals and words, and in my strive to offer impeccable service to my clients.

My Real Estate career started in 2019 when my husband was the Principal of a well-known brand. When he changed brands, he begged me to come work for him, and of course as a creative filming weddings, I wasn't sold on the idea! Finally, I agreed as long as I could sell in my immediate area of Kloof. The first home I sold was a vandalised property that most were too scared to enter- and it only got better from then on! I made a promise to myself that I would only take on one listing at a time, a commitment to ensure that my focus would only be on limited clients. From that moment 5 years ago, to now, by God or by chance (I say God!) my focus has always been on no more than a handful of sellers at a time- just as I had always wanted. My commitment to my clients from beginning to end is of utmost importance.

THE VALUATION PROCESS


 

In order to put a fair price tag on your home, there are multiple things to consider. An estate agent will pull up a report on your property which tells us:

1. The year and price you purchased it for

2. The municipal valuation amount and year

3. The comparable average sales price of the recently sold properties in your immediate area

Along with the above information, we then pop over to view the home to note:

1. The condition of your property

2. Any renovations or additions that you may have had done to your home

3. The neighbourhood and surrounding homes

With this data on hand, I lastly compile a Comparable Market Analysis on other homes on the market currently, and what they offer in comparison to yours, which have sold, which have not sold, which are now stale stock, and which have been price reduced.

After this indepth analysis, I will send you a report with all necessary information and my suggest marketing price.

Kloof is particularly known for its leafy suburb of large gardens, and a small knit community with a village feel. Did you know that kloof does not have a single robot? Instead, our small suburb has traffic circles and stop streets.  Private Kloof schools include prestigious St Marys Diocesan School for Girls, and co-ed Thomas More College. Our brilliant local government schools are Kloof Junior Primary, Kloof Senior Primary, and Kloof High School. Kloof has an amazing community policing, residents volunteering for street patrols, and a close network of armed security responses.

Gillitts is perfectly positioned between Kloof and Hillcrest, and runs on both sides of the m13. It holds a similar market to Kloof with large gardens and middle to upperclass homes. Gillitts has a number of brilliant pre schools, and families living in Gillitts are also zoned for the asolutely brilliant and sought after Winston Park Primary School in Winston Park.

Forest Hills is further out and a drive through the Kloof gorge road or through Hillcrest is needed to reach Forest Hills. Properties are more affordable on this side of the Upper Highway. Forest View Primary is a lovely local school, and Watercrest Mall is a brilliant addition to the Upper Highway.

Everton is an upper class suburb renowned for its mansions, extra large gardens, and even horses. Everton is located between Kloof and Gillitts and is a sought after suburb.

Waterfall consists of three sections, Waterfall 1, 2 and 3. Waterfall 1 is closest to Hillcrest, with Waterfall 2 in the middle and Waterfall 3 closer to Crestholme and behind Forest Hills. Homes are priced very similar to Forest Hills. Schooling in Waterfall includes private schools Waterfall College, Waterfall Preparatory.

Hillcrest is a now bustling suburb with multiple shopping centres, large estates, sports grounds and a variety of different property types from large homes to smaller complexes. Schooling in Hillcrest includes private schools Highbury Preparatory, CURRO Hillcrest, and governemnt schools Hillcrest Primary, and Hillcrest High School.
